Story Overview
Getting expelled from school is a pretty bad way to start over. For the protagonist of Duality, it’s exactly what happens, forcing him to leave his old life behind and move to another city, where he’ll have to start again in an unfamiliar environment.
The new city gives him plenty of freedom, but also plenty of ways to get himself into trouble. He can spend his days exploring different locations, meeting the people around him, and deciding how he wants to approach each relationship. Rather than pushing the story along one fixed route, the game lets those connections develop according to the choices you make.
Each character has their own progression, with different levels of Feelings, Respect, and Perversion affecting how their interactions develop and which scenes become available. That gives Duality a more sandbox-oriented structure, where the way you treat people can gradually change the relationships and situations you encounter.
