Story Overview

Coming back home isn’t exactly how you imagined your future. After spending years away and failing to make it abroad, you’re back in Goonerfell, returning to your old home and having to figure out what comes next.

But there’s considerably more to do here than simply settling back into your old routine. The Gooner features a surprisingly interactive world where characters follow their own schedules, react to the weather, and go about their daily activities. Doors aren’t always open, people have places to be, and showing up at the wrong time can mean finding someone asleep, busy cooking, or taking care of their own business.

Your own daily life comes with plenty of distractions, too. A growing set of urges, activities, and personal interests gives you reasons to explore, while a range of playable minigames keeps things from becoming repetitive. You can shoot hoops, work out with dumbbells, play pinball, practice lockpicking, or improve your knowledge through memory-based study challenges.
