Story Overview
Back to Home picks up six months after Beth is rescued from a mysterious island that should’ve been left behind forever. Beth is a well-known pianist trying to rebuild her life, along with her young tenant who survived the same nightmare. On the surface, everything seems fine — they’re back home, safe, and surrounded by familiar places. But very quickly, it becomes clear that something is wrong.
Their house doesn’t feel the same anymore. Shadows move when no one’s there, mirrors show faces that don’t belong, and sleep offers no escape from the memories of the island. What was supposed to be a simple concert trip to Japan turned into violence, fear, and survival — and the aftermath refuses to fade. As the days pass, reality and nightmares start blending together, and an unsettling truth emerges: the island didn’t release them completely. Something came back with them. Something that wants to take their place and finish what it started.
