v0.4
The Driving Hub (new)
– The car rides are now an interactive space, not just a cutscene. Between story beats you can spend time with your two travel companions: talk to them, trigger small moments, find optional scenes.
– What’s on offer depends on how far you’ve come, the route you took earlier, and your choices and stats. The conversations shift across the trip and react to what you’ve experienced.
– You can let the protagonist rest during the drive — and what the others get up to while she does is its own little layer.
– Some scenes that used to fire automatically (and far too early) now unlock dynamically, based on what you’ve actually experienced. Nothing’s gone — it’s just earned now.
Story
– New story section: “Motel.” After a small mishap the group ends up in a stranger’s car and, eventually, all sharing a single room.
– The existing chapters were reworked to support the new systems and a more consistent tone.
Characters & Writing
– A brand-new model for the second character. This was a massive job — roughly half of all the renders in the game had to be re-created.
– Inner Thoughts: every character now has a visible inner monologue that shifts as the story moves. For the protagonist especially, it shows how she’s really taking things in — and thoughts can now appear inline, while a character is talking.
– A narrative voice was added to set mood and context where dialogue alone wasn’t enough.
Systems & UI
– Status Screen (now a full feature; it was a beta in 0.3): each character’s mood, how they feel about you and each other, and what’s on their mind — open any time from the quick menu.
– Character attributes (trust, anger, arousal, corruption…) now actually matter: they gate options and open or change scenes instead of just sitting there.
– Choice Hints: optional, switchable hints that show what a decision affects, for when you’re unsure.
– A hidden fertility status and cycle, rolled randomly at the start of each playthrough — mostly groundwork for now, but it adds variety between runs.
– New main menu with short intro film sequences and direct links to Discord and SubscribeStar.
– Cleaner end-of-build screen with social and feedback links.
– Redesigned in-game phone chat into a proper messenger-style panel.
Fixes & Polish
– Fixed intimate-stat tracking that silently stayed at zero.
– Fixed new characters not showing up properly after replaying a scene from the gallery.
– Fixed a crash when opening the History screen, restored a missing settings toggle, and cropped an off-format gallery thumbnail.
– All in-game measurements now use the metric system.
– Added optional, fully anonymous stats (you opt in) so I can see which paths actually get played — and catch ones that are too hard to find or broken.
– Plus a long tail of smaller fixes, typo passes and consistency tweaks.
