Story Overview
Dissonance follows Jeremy, a young man who makes a difficult choice for the sake of a future he believes is worth waiting for. He leaves behind the people closest to him, including his girlfriend, who plans to join him after graduation, his spoiled but affectionate best friend, and his rebellious younger sister. What he gains in return is a chance at long-term security and a life that might finally feel stable.
But distance changes people, and a year apart is a long time to survive on trust alone. As Jeremy settles into his new life, the bonds he thought were unbreakable begin to face pressure from time, temptation, and the choices each person makes while they are separated. What starts as a sacrifice for love slowly becomes a test of loyalty, patience, and whether the future he is chasing will really be worth the cost.
