Story Overview
Life changes overnight for the eighteen-year-old protagonist of Nerve Fade when a devastating accident leaves him struggling with even the simplest everyday tasks. The future he had planned suddenly disappears, replaced by long days of recovery and uncertainty. While most people slowly drift away, one person refuses to abandon him—his landlady, Mary, who becomes his strongest source of support during the hardest period of his life.
Mary, however, is carrying a secret of her own. After speaking with the doctors, she learns the full extent of the protagonist’s injuries but chooses not to reveal everything, believing the truth could change his life forever. As rehabilitation turns into a deeply personal journey, the bond between them continues to evolve, and every choice shapes how their relationship—and the protagonist’s future—unfolds. Nerve Fade combines emotional storytelling with romance, focusing on healing, trust, and the difficult decisions that emerge when hope and uncertainty exist side by side.
