Story Overview
There are bills to pay, favors to return, jobs to take, and people who are more than happy to offer help—as long as Athena is willing to give them something in return. In a place where everyone seems to have an angle, surviving means learning who to trust, who to avoid, and what she’s willing to sacrifice to get ahead.
The town opens up slowly. During the day, Athena can take on work, investigate local problems, meet its residents, and build relationships with people who remember how she treated them. Once night falls, different opportunities appear, along with dangers that aren’t always obvious in daylight. A simple job can turn into a much bigger problem, and a seemingly harmless favor can lead Athena somewhere she never intended to go.
At the same time, Athena isn’t defenseless. Scarlet Chains: Fallen Athena combines a dark-fantasy setting with real-time combat, exploration, branching relationships, and a growing quest system, letting you decide how she handles the people and situations thrown her way. There isn’t one correct path through the town—what Athena gives, what she refuses, and the choices she makes along the way all help determine what kind of story she ends up living.
