Family Patch

Dev: I created a patch for each of the game three parts (different file for each) that addresses both the default family-naming when starting a new game, and using those values when doing a replay. The game is coded in such a way (badly, I might add) that even though Part 1 stores names and relations as persistent values after defining them in the 1st play, it only loads from those persistent values when initiating a new game, not when loading a replay, and Parts 2 and 3 ditched the persistent values altogether. There was also a mixup in variables with Ariel that would result in you calling her bro and her calling you sis…that’s fixed too.

Place the file matching the part you’re playing at the root of the “game” folder, and launch the game.
Expected results, when starting a new game or a replay, in either part:
– family name defaults to “Smith” for MC and his family
– MC defaults to “Jack” in each part (would only do so in Part 1 in the original game)
– Ariel and Bella are your sisters/siblings (addressed as “sis”), Vivian is your mother (addressed as Mom), Victor is your father (addressed as Dad)

Doesn’t impact saves (no new variables or labels). And of course, doesn’t impact your saves from a previous part being imported into the next.

To uninstall, simple remove that file you added.
